First Session : introduction Project

Q1: Could you introduce yourself to our community? @lenny_antlerinteractive , @anastasiazudina and
@antler_anna

@Anna Norrevik

Sure! My name is Anna Norrevik and I’m the CEO of Antler Interactive, which is the studio behind My Neighbor Alice. I’ve been 7 years in the games industry including 5 years at Paradox Interactive, as team leader/producer for 7 expansions, including the largest game project at Paradox, Crusader Kings 3, which was released on Sept 1st 2020

@Lenny | Antler Interactive:

Hi all! My name is Lenny Pettersson and the CMO of Antler Interactive. I have 15+ years of experience within the media & gaming industry. Before Antler I worked 8 years as Senior Marketing Manager for the Nordic & Baltic region at Turner a WarnerMedia company. Vast experience in launching original IPs (such as Adventure Time, Ben 10 and Powerpuff Girls) for Cartoon Network.

@Anastasia:

My name is Anastasia. And I am working with Marketing together with the Antler Interactive team. My background: I have an MA in Business and Marketing. Ex-professional athlete and gamer. :blush: I am working closely with blockchain, crypto, and gaming and have vast experience in these fields.

Q2. Could you briefly explain What is My Neighboor Alice and what makes it different from other projects?

@Anna Norrevik

Since last autumn we’re working on a new big game, which has a greater scope than any of our previous titles, called My Neighbor Alice. My Neighbor Alice is a multiplayer builder game, where anyone can buy and own virtual islands, collect and build exciting items, and meet new friends. Inspired by successful games such as Animal Crossing, the game combines the best of the two worlds — a fun narrative for regular players who want to enjoy the gameplay experience as well as an ecosystem for players who want to collect and trade NFTs, even if they have no idea what an NFT is.

In my opinion, our primary feature to make our project stand out from other blockchain gaming projects is our clear focus on a target group that doesn’t know blockchain already. That is a big market and they would benefit from playing and spending time on games from which they can get rewards in the end. We plan to make it super easy and smooth for those players to start playing and to get into the game and enjoy it. No need to buy tokens just to get started.

Q3. What are the main Goals of My Neighbor Alice?

@Anna Norrevik

Our goal is to make My Neighbor Alice not just a game for blockchain players. But a fun, creative and social game to introduce blockchain to millions of players.

And long-term we wish for the ALICE token to have a decentralised governance model and DAO driven game development. ALICE token holders will be invited to join the Decentralised Autonomous Organization called the Community Council. Players get to vote on important game proposals and issues, additional functionality, new NFTs and approving NFTs created by users with the help of an NFT creator.

Q4. Could you provide information about My Neighbor Alice plans in the near future?

@Anna Norrevik:

So our concrete plan to bring the game to the players is first to release our early prototype to Alice token holders in January (current month). Next up we aim to release an Early Access during summer 2021. In Q1/Q2 2022 we will release our 1.0 version of the game. And then we will keep supporting the game with updates, fresh content, fixes and new features.

Q5. What are the major milestones My Neighbor Alice achieved so far?

@Anna Norrevik

One of our most recent titles, Krystopia: A Puzzle Journey, reached about 400k installs during 2020, which is a milestone we are very happy about at the studio. With our even more recent release Krystopia: Nova’s Journey, released in July 2020, we have achieved a review score of 4.8 on Google Play, which is proof that we’re increasing our quality with every release we’ve made so far. That’s why we’re now so excited to have started the two biggest projects ever of the studio, one that is still in early pre-production, I can hint that it’s an open world adventure game though. And the second one being My Neighbor Alice, our creative social builder game.

@Lenny | Antler Interactive

That´s a great question and a very important milestone was recently reached when we secured both financial support as well as strategic partners that will be of great importance for this project. That combined with our current team aboard makes us really excited about the future of this project. You can read more about it in the Announcement channel for My Neighbor Alice. From a marketing perspective I’m really excited for the early access release later this year when the game will be open to try for the public but there are many more milestones that will be reached and revealed before that so please stay tuned for more news:)

Second segment : question from twiter

Q1: From @ASyahteguh

My Neighbor Alice announced that they have partnered with Bounce Finance. My question is, can you explain a little about Bounce Finance? And why did you choose Bounce Finance as your partner to integrate the NFT market + Gamifed financial product initiative?

@Lenny | Antler Interactive

Great question and we´re really excited about the partnership! The Bounce Finance platform creates new decentralized ways for making predictions by combining auction models and tools to build sets of prediction models and markets. The cryptocurrency prediction market is open to everyone to participate or create prediction pools at any time. Bounce prediction markets are designed with focus on ease to use and elegant calculations. You can read more about the partnership here.

Q2 : From @PhuLe26224707
Base on your website, MyNeighborAlice will run on Chromia blockchain in the future. Why dont you choose other blockchains which faster and easy to integrate? What are advantages you have seen on Chromia blockchain over other blockchains?

@Anastasia:

Yes, first of all it is not our first project together with Chromia.

Some history to it: from the very start, blockchain presented a new exciting technology that we just wanted to experiment with at the studio. We made some integrations in Krystal Kart, and then we met ChromaWay that presented their blockchain Chromia to us. When ChromaWay acquired us in end of 2019 we really started to see the possibilities blockchain could bring to games; letting people monetize their creativity, hard work and creations as well as potentially letting the community decide parts of the game. Not much later our Alice was born, in which we see a lot of potential for blockchain functionality, benefits and features.

From technological standpoint. The first and most important layer to this project is the backend infrastructure. The project was created on the fundamental idea that it will deploy the Chromia platform as a layer 2 solution. Chromia is well-known for its innovative relational blockchain technology and RELL, a programming language. The backend is a postchain database that is used in conjunction with unity to operate accounts, token transfers, relational data and user progress, among many other things. It’s meant to follow the development of cross chain playability and interaction with NFTs. The second layer to the project is the unity development.

It is can be a very long answer, so if you are interested, check out our WP here: http://bit.ly/AliceWP

Q3 : From @Hasby84721621
From technological and commercial perspectives, how can traditional companies be integrated into the blockchain?What are your plans for traditional companies that continue to exist with their own systems?

@Anastasia

Will add as well that we tried the first implementation with the integration of Chromia blockchain economy between the Mines of Dalarnia and our game Krystopia: Nova’s Journey (available to play on PC & mobile here: http://onelink.to/37mzzz.) Not much later our Alice was born, in which we see a lot of potential for blockchain functionality, benefits and features.

@Lenny | Antler Interactive:admin

That´s a very big and important question which we likely will not have time to answer in full during this AMA:) I think more traditional companies and brands are indeed looking at the possibilities of Blockchain and there are many interesting user cases around the world. When it comes to gaming specifically we´ve already seen major brands such as Formula 1 enter this space through licensing deals and we´ll likely see more examples. When it comes to My Neighbor Alice we have a plan to bring external brands on board and as long as it makes sense for the brand as well as bringing value to the MNA community.

Q4 : From @levispham2
My question is about your long term marketing plans. How, or through which big partnerships do you plan on utilising to pass your product onto the normal consumer — especially non-crypto people?

@Lenny | Antler Interactive:admin

We´ve already secured strategic partnerships in the crypto space but the studio´s and it´s employees background is in developing and marketing games and brands towards regular gamers i.e non crypto, so we see that as our strength as we already have a strong relationship with major platforms such as Steam, Google Play and App Store. With that said we´re still on the look for marketing partnerships that would make sense and benefit My Neighbor Alice.

Q5 : From @sitichutia
Does MY Neighbor Alice already have a platform or DAPP for selling and buying NFT activities from MY Neighbor Alice games? And what items will we get?

@Anastasia:

We will have a marketplace in MNA to buy and sell NFTs. Both an in-game marketplace as well as a web-based external marketplace.

Segment 3: live Questions From Member Auto Sultan Group

TELEGRAM USER : @MasterTraderCMAmbassador:

The idea of the MY NEIGHBOR ALICE project is really unique and incredible, how did this idea come about?

@Anna Norrevik

Happy to hear you like it! The idea was actually born from our Art Director Oliwer Svensson, who then started experimenting to see what he could create. Inspiration comes from smaller town building games with a community that shares their creation and comes up with creative ways to build. We have always wanted to do a multiplayer game that involves more than one player to interact.

TELEGRAM USER :@Flick

How can we participate in the governance of ALICE NEIGHBOUR project ?

@Anastasia:

One of the innovation in the game is its decentralised governance model and DAO driven game development. ALICE token holders will be invited to join the Decentralised Autonomous Organization called the Community Council. Players get to vote on important game proposals and issues, additional functionality, new NFTs and approving NFTs created by users with the help of an NFT creator. The inspiration for the Community Council was taken from real-world experience with liquid democracy being in the centre of the model.

@Anastasia:

Why did you choose the project name My Neighbor Alice? What’s the secret hidden behind this Project Name?

The name is actually a mix of inspiration from the anime movie title “My Neighbor Totoro” and the name of the main character of the game: Alice. Alice is your neighbor that greets you when you enter the game, gives you the introductory quests as well as sells you land plots.

The Scandinavian motif inspired the architecture and landscape of the game, for example it has some inspiration from the Swedish children’s book/game “Pettson och Findus”

Considering that My neighbor Alice has a Steam relationship that means that Will be only a PC Game? Or do you have planned integrated to Mobile devices?

@ANNA

Initially the game will be on Steam only but we definitely have plans for more platforms along the road. Since our goal is to have a wide audience and appeal we also think we need to take a broad approach to distribution.
